How does it differ to Swedish massage?

Swedish massage is about making you leave feeling relaxed and pampered. Do not get deep tissue massage and sports massage confused as they are very different types of treatment. Deep tissue is what most therapists will offer you if you mention an injury. It is a good form of treatment and can help releave tired muscles, but a true sports massage is about looking at the whole body and tailoring a range of movements, manipulaions and massage techniques.

Sports injury analysis  -  1 hr          £45

This treatment involves a thorough consultation to find out the root cause of your problem by examining your lifestyle and injury. This is followed by a treatment of the area in question.

Please note sports massage can involve you lying on the couch both on your front, back and side; sitting up; standing up; or performing stretches. Whilst I do tailor the treatment to each client, please call if you have any concerns.

Dress depends on the area which requires work but shorts and a t-shirt or vest top are a good idea. You will be covered when an area is being worked on, but for stretching  exercises etc shorts are more comfortable.
